my fav thing about the lv flagship is that the george V hermes is just across the street- that store is tourist mad and the decor reminds me of being trapped at the bottom of a big lv bag...

I think they made a excelent detail work in LV, do you see how they put the schemes of the cards multibank inlaid in the balcony? the gratings are the logo! poor cleaning woman... the front of the step it's in mirror so when you start to go up if u look at the stairs in the 2nd steps what you see is a giant mirror and yourself in it. There are lot of litlle details from the arq. that u only see it if you pay attencion and of course if the store were almost empty!!!

I went to Hermés too, but they only have a small Birkin and some Kellys, it's diferent from the other Hermés this one looks like the 1st one... but i saw the new model of hermés the one that seems that is falling apart in the midle!

Louis Vuitton is such a marvel! There also used to be a video at the Vuitton website showing basically the entire shop. So massive and a work of art! Absolutely great thread!

I know it sounds like a weird question, but do the stores actually buy all of the props and decorations for their windows? I'd think that that would get expensive really quickly. Especially for their holiday windows...

^^ I don't get it. Are the dots perforations in metal? I just assumed the building was all glass from the other pictures I've seen.

Yes, I believe it's perforations. The thing I find most interesting is that it resembles the "Carnage" leather quilting they do.

I believe it's 'Cannage'.

(Though 'Carnage' would describe a lot of my feeling's towards Dior...)
