Truly amazing...

'composition chair' by kouichi okamoto

composition chair
material : hard aluminum 3.0mm
size: W700mm x D640mm x H700mm
weight : 60kg

this chair was handmade by kouichi okamoto himself, spent over 6 months for one chair.
it was created by bending aluminium wire and crossing it one by one.
no bolts or welding is used at all.
the tools used for this design are only a jig and a pair of pliers.

That's who you wanna go in the woods with, right?
Somebody who finishes your sentences for you

I like these old leather chairs, and having sat on similar ones, I know they're very comfortable.

Also, I like this 'cat chair'! You wouldn't find my cat in one of those though; she likes to spread out across half a couch or a bed, rather than be put into a little burrow.

that pink one.

I didn't know she made furniture...

I've actually been looking for two chairs for a while now, I really want them to be special and definitely not identical. There's some good stuff at One Kings Lane's site... I browse it religiously hoping the right one comes along.

6 months later, found my dream chair.. I had seen it before but didn't know who made it, and if it was still in production. Kind of affordable considering how pretty it is and how therapeutic it must be chilling on it after work everyday (*oldpeople'sconcerns*)..
