This is an oil pastel drawing I made for Drawing class.
We first made collages using magazines and then we translated them onto paper. I measured wrong, so that's why my drawing looks kind of elongated and compressed horizontally

Your work is excellent! I like how much attention you've paid on the lights. The pencil/charcoal drawings kind of remind me of 1920s posters, something like Art Deco or during this period... Even Batman pops into my head

... Leeyone... I absolutely adore the figure... the fragileness...

... for me, you should leave the background white... or just very "shallow"... a shallow depth... the solitary figure wrestling in this shallow depth...

... I would even go so far to strip away everything, so you just have the figure... but this is just my opinion...

I think it's good. I think it's bad. Haha. Dunno. Lol. I want to finish the tree, but my back terribly hurts.

leeyone, that's a very beautiful and romantic background. You should be proud, not only because it's wonderful but also the fact that backgrounds are not easy to integrate with the foreground. You've made it all work.

Monday our model didn't show up for figure drwing so we just had to draw each other drawing...haha so this is one from my sketch book

But you know what they say, practice makes perfect... school is out, and I'm having the best time of my life creating art!

I bought new watercolors.

Here is my work.

Sorry for the very small size (hee. I can't stand to see it big because I can see all the wrong things i've done)... I'll make a better one next time. I'm just tired right now and my table is a mess.

Oh. This is my version of venus (i'm not doing any justice at all...) but she is really like a venus of the woods or somethin'. haha.
