^no, they are made from toys, then photographed.

I love his work, he uses a wide variety of materials, not just toys. you can see some more of his work here at a gallery that represents him

he uses all sorts of materials to recreate well known images.

this one of pollock painting done in chocolate syrup is great because he uses the same expressive motions in using the chocolate that pollock used in his painting.
