My partner and I are about to build a new house and will be going for white, glossy finish wall-to-wall, handle-less cupboards, almost black CaesarStone benchtop, dropped down ceiling, downlights and stainless steek appliances.

Below are pictures of the kitchen plan and what kind of look we are planning to go for. Please let me know what you think.

Also, what do you think of integrated fridges? I know they look good and everything, but what happens when you decide to up-size or down-size it or it simply dies and you have to get a new one?

By the way, our kitchen plain isnt ideal, the oven is right next to the fridge which isnt such a good idea... Would it be a better idea to place the wall oven above the dishwasher?

I think built in refridgerators are pretty great aesthetically--I'm not sure about the practical issues that you're wondering about but I'm guessing you would just replace certain parts?

I would imagine they are built to last and refridgerators generally have a long "life"

The over is right next to the refridgerator in my house (fridge is not built in though) and I've never noticed it to be a problem. Not loving the idea of the oven above the dishwasher though--something about all that steam and water right under the oven just doesn't sit right with me

My dream kitchen would be two stories. I made a replica of it on the Sims2, and it turned out fantastic. One would eat on the second story, while the actual appliances would go on the bottom story.

My "drawing."

Oh, I'm sure it would. But I'd be willing to sacrifice that (and much more) for the sheer pleasure of knowing I own my dream kitchen.

Is this where a mechanized dumbwaiter system comes into play?
