I guess they can look really good when not overdone, or in primary colours...or soft pastels. So yeah, in black or a good indigo wash.

For those forumers who are not Australian, Supre is very much like our version of H&M, high turnover of very trend based fashion.

Supre is always the first of high street stores to be sporting a trend long before the other catch up. I buy lots of casual pieces like singlets and shorts that you just wouldn'e pay a lot of money for.

The pics you're seeing are mainstream fashion. Thought I'd post some fashion from a recent 'short-term club' that was set up over summer. I think its pretty indicative of Melbourne fashion outside the mainstream (hich is quickly becoming mainstream anyway! if that makes any sense at all... probably not...)

I just picked random pics....

HA I should post what the people at my college wear. Some of them wear the worst combinations of trends and some actually look good.

Agree, Supre is more of "I WANT TO LOOK LIKE A SKANK AND MY SKIRT IS ACTUALLY A BELT!"

I'm talking about high street stores, and I definitely think they are. Who would you suggest to be first in sporting the latest trends?

And it's not the clothes so much as how you wear them. A lot of labels can be skanky if put together that way....

I think in order to really appreciate Aussie fashion ( especially Melbourne ) you'd have to go here yourself, sit in a cafe looking out to the streets, and watch people go by. Seriously.
The pics posted here only represent a small fragment of Aussie fashion!
And the teenybopper pics on post #133

^^ yeah I agree mlsnts...because also the fashion in melbourne varies depending on where you look (but I spose that's the same everywhere...) if you were in say Chapel street the types of clothes & styles you'd see would differ from say Brunswick street and the CBD could also be different again... so it really depends on where you go
