it really depends on what your style is aint it and what your needs are.

If ure after a brand name dress then go for it, similarily if ure after avant-garde non societal trend stuff go for that!!!

Personally even if I was female, I would not blow 300 on an Alice Mccall, but thats just me

It's just very hard to find a dress for $300 that isn't too common.

I need to look for a cocktail dress for an event at the end of the year. With $300 you oculd probably get something nice from David Jones or a nice boutique of some sort but if you wanted something mmore individual try vintage or something of that kind. I'm going to get my dress from a second hand/vintage store not too fussed as long as it suits me and is a reasonable price. Perhaps you could go down the same road? Just a suggestion anyway

Alice McCall is a Australian Sydney based designer. Her clothes are stocked in David Jones department stores in Australia and a few boutiques as well as overseas. She reccently showed a collection for London fashion week and is rising in popularity for her cute, quirky and fun designs most notably her dresses. Her website www.alicemccall.com.au for more info. Hope it helps!
