i agree re- 3/4 tights
i went out in country vic about a month ago and every girl was wearing a dress with those leather wrap belts which become thin at the end with 3/4 tights

also, i think tall poppy syndrome is very much a part of dressing in aust
for example, im a twin and my sis always always has to look her best - be well groomed when she leaves the house (compared to me who lives in trackies). she takes so much pride in her appearance and she looks great but our friends often complain to me that she overdresses, implying that its inappropriate

this really annoys me - she can dress how she wants - she's expressing herself - let her be!!!

Not at Sydney Uni, I've never seen anything concerning fashion in a student publication here, unless it's an article about fur or something

I've seen some girls lately with there pony tails right on top of there head with neon hair ties. terribly 80's
I also notice the majority of teenage girls i see in the city look like veronicas.
