Don't you feel as if we've been seeing the same fashion looks year after year for the last 3-4 years? If your main source of inspiration is magazines.... you're stuck!

I feel the need for something new, wearable, stylish but not too hard-trying.... the only thing I get to see are either uggs, mukluks, boots over trousers and jeans.... so many jeans.... and vintage... I came to dislike it..... and I hate that ladylike look that is of fashion this season.... it looks so pretentious.... who wants to be a lady anyway?

I've been studying all the street photos poosted here and although I can really appreciate some of the styles shown there, as well as the creativity shown by some of the people, I find disturbing the fact that everyone seems to be dressed to impress... as if they woke up thinking "what should I wear in case someone takes my picture...?" I would like to see people who do not seem to copy anyone else or any trend... where are the trend setters nowadays? Everyone seems to be influenced by the same bunch of 5 people....

I feel that the designers do not help with fashion trend-setting anymore because they seem to copy celebrities as well... or even worse... they constantly copy fashion of previous decades.... where is the new stuff.... how much more will we be seeing hippies and mods and things like these on the catwalks... what will be the fashion to define OUR generation.... copycats?
Excellent post. What occurs to me as I read this thread is that anyone, anywhere, can have good style as long as it is personal and authentic on some level. I am so tired of the Lindsay Lohans/Ashlee Simpsons of the world...North America is positively infested with them! It's as though people won't wear anything they haven't seen in the last 6 mos. of Teen Vogue....however, true style for our generation will be defined by people who know what looks good on them personally, whether or not they'll ever be able to afford the contrived looks in the pop magazines we're supposedly all meant to lust after.

Hanne, Glam moved last year to Faelledvej, in case you didn't know.
I have to say that picture was taken a while ago. They look nothing like that these days.
