I love it when people actually do spend money on their clothes and care about how they look. You don't see that in here Finland.

This was funny and quite unusual for me to see. In Italy I saw a man sittting at a small but upclass bar in a black suit and white shirt draped in diamonds. He had many diamond ringswith large stones. Diamond bracelets, and even a necklace..Must have been his mom's I was thinking, but...LOL Looked pretty good even so..:P

Mmm those old ladies on the bikes are awesome! And they say Italian women don't age well. I bet those old gals have buns of steel. I need an old school bike! Then I'll learn how to ride in platforms. I've always dressed 5 years older than my actual age anyways (I was a trashy 13 year old... ugh).

As far as my generation, I'm a little dissapointed. It's very "teen." See the emo girl in post 64.

i can't figure out why you should ask for that. Wear your usual style and you'll be just fine. Besides, you find more foreigners than italian people in the summer time

Dang, is it really hot in Summer? I can't find any weather forecasts cos they're all for Rome and Florence. I'm only going for a week. But still, I don't want to bring jeans if it's going to be steaming.

depends. weather in the north -cities like milan, bologna..- tends to be more continental (cold winters, hot&sticky summers, UNBEARABLE). it gets drier as you work your way to the south. rome then naples then sicily....the weather in sicily is just lovely.

Florence is close to Rome, so the weather is almost the same if u mean northern or southern Italy, it's exactly as Boluda said

I remember watching the tv series 'Commesse' or 'Shopgirls' on tv. I loved everything Marta wore on the show!
