Truly 'odd spanish street style'. I am currently traveling through Spain with my husband. We began our trip in Madrid and our currently traveling thorugh the northern Basque country. Although I have to say, I have seen a lot of 'revolutionary' type fashion thus far....and the women (20-30 somethings) all have the same hairstyle which is somewhat reminiscent of a mullet, short to medium length with heavily tapered layers and blunt bangs. I am looking forward to Barceleona, my hopes are for a more 'milanese' style frontier........

Ciao Bella!

I'd say Barcelona is more on the trendy/experimental side while Madrid is more classic.

The mullet is the national hairstyle of Spain.

Spanish street style is a way to big title for the thread, because people in northern Spain dress very different from people in the south, and even people in Madrid look very different from people in Barcelona.
I think photos in here don't portray reality, I think fotologs are more accurate.
Also the thing now, is that most of young people in western countries look very the same, so is very difficult to identify which style is from where.

Excuse me, but I'm just curious, what's the meaning of "mullet"? Maybe, is it the English word for "flequillo"?

I agree with people who say that there are some differences depending on which part of Spain you are in. Personally, Barcelona has the street style I love the most, but Madrid is also fine.

I believe 'flequillo' means bangs.
The mullet is a haircut, very popular in the eighties... Macgyver hair. :p
