First try to see if you can get a parent to co sign a loan from the bank. If not, get a credit card or borrow money through your banks overdraft policy. Try to build credit and then you can get your own loans. A good place to start, the bank. If you quality for the FASA (I didn't) but most college's offer it and will give you an appt. when you apply or you can google it. Grants are good too, try applying for them.
Ok, well they're basically something that the city (gov.) or a company gives out (like a scholarship but called a grant) they grant you the money instead of loaning it to you and they'll give you it for all the years mostly. I was given 1600.00 and they would send me a check in my name at the end of each semester.
The grant can basically be used for other stuff, not just school. (Like books, activities, your prada shoes (j/k.) A scholarship is to be used for just school tuition. Most businesses or organizations give out scholarships though and not the city or gov.
So, I want to study pr/fashion management in NYC and I'm very much interested in scholarship oppurtunities.
Could you advise any good ideas where to apply?
I'm especially interested in maybe some big firms, companies... who provide scholarships?
I hope someone will be able to help me out I am thinking of enrolling in the Parsons Fashion Business Online Certificate course, as I live in Toronto, I figure it's the best option for me at this point. I was wondering if anyone knew of any scholarships/bursaries/aid that are awarded to students taking continuing education courses and who are international students? or if this has already been discussed, maybe where I can find out more info within this thread.
