I first interned at a really small magazine and then a mid-sized PR firm (with amazing clients) before a well known magazine.

... Though to add it's a cumulation of other aspects eg uni/retail job/etc etc. You can always make the experience you have now fit most jobs/internships you're applying to.

I'm interning at a huge fashion bible this spring, and my only prior internship was at Gucci PR.

^I just finished my internship at the German branch of a big international magazine and had no previous editorial experiences.

I did work in high-end retail beside my studies though.

Did you get it yourself, or through college?

My college is crap for work placement.

This girl i know applied for an internship with them and got it, I think it's a summer placement this year and she applied ages ago by contacting someone of their website i think. She studies history and still in university...don't have a clue how she knew about it but from what I heard it's not a too strenuating process and you don't need any contacts like some other companies do. Best bet is finding some contact info for anyone in relation to net a porter then asking them how you go about the process, i'm sure there are opportunities open every year though.

Oh Netaporter would be a great place to intern!

I'm in Paris now on holidays (been here for a week, leaving tomorrow) and I really like it, I would love to intern/work here next holidays (I have 2 more years left of uni) but it seems like a pipe dream My French is still only like intermediate perhaps advanced level, no way is it fluent

Theres info on the website about internships, it says they are looking for people to start in January. I'd like a summer one but I didn't think they were accepting cvs yet...perhaps I'll just e-mail them now
