Hey everyone,
Im a student at FIT in ny. These are some things I've been doing during summer break. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I want to open my own online store eventually, but I think I have a lot of work cut out for me before that happens!

hi ShoeLady i quite like the way you've printed the last ones in your album, the navy with the white+light blue print. i think it would help if you pushed it a bit more with the print design, like for some of the first ones in your album, they just look like shirts with a small print stamped on it.. it looks very homemade and a bit lacking, imo. it could look more professional if you find a way to integrate the print design with the fabric, like used printing colour that's close to the fabric or matches it quite well (like what you've done with the navy bag and the circle print that goes all over it rather than just a small spot on the bag). anyway, the white shirts/scarves are nice too Are you a textile design major or fashion design major?

thanks for the advice. everything is still grassroots, I have a lot that needs to be improved. I'm a fashion design major, but I have been taking a lot of textile classes this past year.

^I think the best thing to do is to practice drawing real bodies... and eventually you get the hang of it and don't need to use something for reference
There's a great link in this thread:

I like to draw clothes, but i do it only for me (most of my sketches was made in school on some boring lessons ). I'm a bit shy, but i decided to scan few designs... I know it isn't perfect, but...
PS: Sorry for bad quality.

I knew there was a thread about that very subject ... so I did an advanced search and here it is. If you need more information about it, after reading the whole thread, ask again there ... you might get more responses.
