FIT has huge administrative problems. Everything, including instructors and student services are all hit or miss. Make sure you make your payments at the right time or they'll feel free to deregister you from all of your classes during the first week of school. Didn't happen to me but they canceled my phys ed class completely. If you didn't know, gym is required at FIT.

Chambre Syndicale de la [sic] haute couture is a regulatory body not a college, no?

I see that most of you are split 50/50 regarding Parsons vs. FIT. But when it comes down to Fashion Merchandising/Marketing, which is the better school to attend?

I am looking for a school that offers connections for internships as I have my eyes set on a career in the fashion magazine realm. I understand that most fashion magazines recruit from girls clubs/blue blood schools at places like Vassar, however, in the fashion magazine world is FIT or Parsons better respected? Would I have a better chance of getting "in" if I majored in journalism at a straight-up liberal arts school?
Gosh, so many questions, sorry. Thanks for the help!!!

What does everybody think of Pratt? They're on the small side, right? I'm intrigued because apparently they single out fashion majors single years, and most schools don't. Is that true?
