Has anyone done part-time study at CSM instead of seeking a degree? Like a summer program for instance? I'm considering this and was just wondering if anyone had any experience with it.

I just read through this thread and found it immensely useful as far as applications & student life go.

However I was wondering if anyone knew how the job prospects for international students are after graduating from CSM? If I do get into CSM, I'd really like to stay on in London and work for a few years before going back - anyone knows how hard it would be for an international student to find work in London and stay on after graduation?

I am working on my application for the M.A. Fashion program Fashion Journalism route and I have to write a 2,000-3,000 word essay. I have no idea what I should write about and I was wondering if anyone might know what they are looking for-- topic-wise, not specifically, of course !

Also, I am wondering if anyone has ever been in this program and the experience they had. Any feedback would be MUCHHHHH appreciated !!!!

ChisGalaxy ... I'm moving your question to the general thread about London/ UK schools for fashion .... sinceyou are asking about more than CSM.

Does anyone know of an abroad program offered to Central Saint Martins?

One of my professors was an academic advisor there (she structured the academic curricula for the fashion department). It'd be great to do an abroad study there for a semester ...

For the BA Womenswear course, should you have fashion in your portfolio or no fashion related pieces at all?

I've heard that you shouldn't submit any fashion garments. Thanks.

I'm in my final year ar another London uni doing a BA in Creative & Media Writing but I was checking out Evening course at CMM/adjacent unis and am considering doing the Introduction to Fashion Writing. Has anyone done that? It's an 8 week long course but I need to work before I do it to earn the money for it (it's only 300 but I am scrimping on a student loan here)

Well, I just read the BA fashion design course info and I have some questions.

They said something about a mini portfolio, which you are aksed to submit when they ask the first time. (just 10 pages!)

and then there's a theme. (a journey) The applicants are asked to create 20 roughs and 2 illustrated odesigns upon this theme.

Is this part of the "real" portfolio.

And has the mini portfolio hit all the requierments of a real portfolio?
