Hello everybody, I am asking this question here since I have googled all day long and haven't been able to get the info I need
Do they give you a certificate or some other type of living proof at the end of a SHORT course?? Something I can mention in my future CV??
Sorry if this sounds strange, maybe I'm a little paranoid but I haven't got the latest clue about UK's education system.

Thank you so very very much for the information if anyone has time to answer me

They sure do!
This is from their website:

"Can I get a certificate of attendance?
Certificates are distributed by tutors on completion of your course. If you require a duplicate certificate please contact the Short Course Office giving your name, course title, and dates of course. New T&Cs charge £30 for additional certificates. Please note that this does not represent a formal qualification from Central Saint Martins.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew about the possibility of obtaining an MA in fashion at a school such as CSM with only an AAS in fashion design at FIT. I know that to get into the MA program, you need to have a foundation diploma and FIT doesn't offer foundation year. So would I be able to substitute college credit art courses for a foundation diploma, and how many credits would I need? If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it

^Also interested in knowing the answer to this.

In the meantime, I guess you could try asking a professor at FIT or something?

And if you haven't already visited this website definitely go to http://www.universityoftheartslondon.info/
It's a US-based website for American citizens that are interested in University of the Arts London (CSM)

You can make a telephone appointment and ask your questions!

Sorry I couldn't answer your question.
Good luck!

First you need a BA to get into the MA, no? I don't think it matters if you have a foundation or not, when you have the BA.

I don't really want to wait until I finish my BA, that's why I was inquiring.

Do I need to take A levels for a foundation course?
Is it necessarily for a foundation course or any higher courses?
I have IGCSEs (c and above)
Im doing A levels (Y13) and Im not sure
whether I should drop out and redo + improve my IGCSE grades and get ready for IELTS?
(As I have a place for doing this. Its kind of like a homeschool)

I am planning on applying to foundation at CSM from the US. I am currently a junior in high school, graduating in 2013. Should I have an interview? What should I do with my sketchbook? When can I apply? Also, I am wondering what is the acceptance rate for foundation.
It is my dream school, but getting a portfolio together is such a daunting task!
Thanks

You should apply this fall and I think they do interviews in New York but you can just send a postal portfolio too.
Just look at their website, its all there. And just do what you apply for, eg. paintings if you apply for fine art. And don't forget to add life drawing.

And I think their general acceptance rate is around 30% in general and approx. 10% when you apply for the fashion foundation.
