I thought chambre syndicale was more focused on haute couture. What are their requirements?

fashion schools in europe- fashion management
hi everybody,

i am interested in fashion management or something similar in the fashion industry. has somebody heard about the quality of universities in the netherlands or does anybody attend one in europe with the basis management/marketing.

its my biggest wish to study something fashion-related, but design should not be the focus ( knitting etc. ) thats not my cup of tea, but it could also be part of my schedule if its not the mainpart.

i am thankful for any information or your experiences/ thougts about it!

Your question is very complex ... it seems like you are looking for different ideas more than just a school. And so I thought that it would be better to refer you to some threads that are already here. Then you may ask more specific questions in the threads that are applicable for you.

So you know how I found this informtion: I took the time to do an advanced search ... searching thread titles in this Careers & Education Forum with words like : management, marketing, Europe, Netherlands, business and I came up with lots and lots of threads. You may wish to try it with other words ... universities, schools, fashion merchandising.... for example ... to get some more results.

Here's some results from my search, that I though would help you out:

ITALIA Fashion Schools
I think it's so not cool Italy doesnt have good fashion schools such as CM o Parson despite being a fashion capital. We have so many talented fashion designers..
So I was wondering where these relatively "young" italian designers have studied. and if any of you guys attend or have attended a fashion school in Italy?

The only one I know is Istituto Marangoni (www.istitutomarangoni.com) because Dolce of d&g, Moschino and Alessandro De Benedetti went there.

polimoda in florence....it's the new home to former antwerp director linda loppa. you should check last years course shows....first year under her direction and frankly heading into the right path. i think she's going to breath a new life into italian fashion very soon.

Uptodate Fashion Academy - Milan
First of all, Hallo Everybody !
This is my first post and i am very happy to be here.

Has anyone attended the Uptodate Fashion Academy in Milan, Italy ? http://www.fashionuptodate.com/
Or if you know someone else who goes/has gone there ?

I am interested in their IMAGE CONSULTING & PERSONAL SHOPPER - Specialist Program.
Judging after their brochure with the course information this is exactly what I would need plus the certification I want.
On the other hand is quite expensive and I find the study period rather short.

If anyone has any info's regarding this school or any other school providing this specific training please share.
I am indeed just another newbee.

Thank you so much.

Welcome to tFS, Charlé!

I merged your thread into this existing one, where we discuss most of the European Fashion Schools. Hopefully someone can answer your question.

Oh yeah, I heard about that from an old professor of mine. Let's see how she does this...

Hi,
my friends studies fashion management in MOd'art. turns out that the program is 3 years in paris and the 4th year in london.but the 4th year is an optional.you can have your MBA degree if you take the 4th year, which is you'll have to pay 15.000 euros more.and you only get a certificate for 3 years of study
Istituto Marangoni is a good school for fashion bussiness, but its more expensive.
good luck!!
