PR - PR Assistant - Junior

- Assist in general day-to-day activities for the PR department.
- Scan magazine credits for client distribution.
- Assist with scheduling appointments with stylists and editors in the showroom.
- Assist with stylists appointments to get detailed information about each shoot date and all appropriate contact information.
- Oversee the interns day to day work- the interns should be writing up the sample loans and packing them up for pickups, and checking in returns. Assistant should oversee to make sure everything is being done correctly and address any mistakes. Also ensure that the showroom is merchandised and organized at all times, as well as
keeping the back closets cleaned and organized for possible appointments for current season.
- Upon return of sample loans, make sure that if any items are missing from a loan that the person is emailed immediately, and if the email is not responded to then a follow-up call should be made.
- Enter product loans into the computer file for the end of month reports.
- Maintain product loan book and if loans are long outstanding- the contacts should be emailed AND called until the samples are returned. If there is a problem with a return – The PR team should be told of the situation in order to assist.
- Handle administrative duties such as calling messengers, arranging shipping of samples, oversee mailings and correct postage, office supplies for PR, etc.
- Maintain magazines- ensure that all credits are clipped and filed appropriately per client. Tear out mastheads of all publications each month and replace them in the Masthead book. Maintain magazine section- direct interns to organize the area and replace old issues of magazines with the current month issue. Ensure that there is ONE copy of each publication in the filed area.
- Assist with maintaining current contact details in database.
- Execute or delegate to the interns any tasks that Denise or the PR team specifically requests.

VPL seeks a highly motivated and organized Assistant Designer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop all samples with local and overseas factories.
• Developing fabric and trim boards
• Research and source on trims/buttons, etc
• Maintaining fabric/trim libraries
