Hello,

I am looking for an internship (paid or unpaid) preferably in DC or NYC but really in any city with a strong fashion community for the summer. It can be anywhere from 2 weeks to 8 weeks, part time or full time. I study international economics, I'm fluent in French, and I have an intense interest in fashion. I'm a very hard worker, a quick study, and am interested in working in basically any capacity in the fashion industry, whether it be in marketing/pr, buying, merchandising, even helping out a small designer or with a boutique. Or helping a stylist. My dream job is to work in consulting for the fashion industry. Please PM me if you'd like to see my resume. I have skills that go along with studying economics, such as knowledge of statistics and experience with Excel, SAS, SPSS, etc. Despite my education, I regularly read fashion industry literature and am confident you would find me sufficiently well versed in current developments in fashion upon speaking with me. I also follow developments in hospitality, etc. Anything luxury really. In any case, I'm a good girl, pick me!


Haha and I'll throw this out there--I know St Barts like the back of my hand...so if anyone needs help there...hahaha wishful thinking...

We're actually looking for an intern to help us out with advertising for our publication (The Fashion Journal), which will be printed in time for Fashion Week this year. However, we do not offer a salary, but are willing to give those who sell ad space a % of what they sell. Also, since we're in the fashion industry and get invited to many fashion events in NYC, we'll be happy to take our intern along with us to the events

Since our office is small, you will be able to work from home as well as meet with potential clients on your own time in order to "seal the deal." We will provide you with our ad rate sheets, business cards and any other promotional tool you might need in helping to sell ads.

I'm looking for high-quality manufacturers for a line I plan to produce - possibly (see my other post - "opinions please"). I would love to have a 'made in Italy' tag on my clothing, but I don't know how expensive manufacture there is. Does anyone have any information? If it is too pricey I may turn to India, I know they're cheap and their quality is excellent if you find the right company. Does anyone have any recommendations in general regarding manufacturers?

I cannot pay very much, but my website has hundreds of hits everyday, so it would be great exposure and experience for someone who needs to build their resume. The Toronto Alternative Fashion Week: [FAT] is
Toronto's first ever alternative fashion event that is
geared towards the promotion and exposure of young and
up and coming talent in the fields of fashion, art and
music. What is defined by alternative, is [FAT]'s
diverse approach in the representation of fashion.

The Toronto Alternative Fashion Week will comprise of
the intertwining of various mediums and intends to
stress the fusion existing between fashion, music and
art. Any medium, materials, messages, visual
presentations and performance used to deal with
fashion in a new, exciting and unorthodox way are all
encouraged to be explored. The event is designed as an
"alternative" to the well-established L'Oreal Fashion
Week, in order to create a new, and more feasible
outlet for young fashionistas and artisans, to
showcase their work. As the event grows with each year
it will ultimately become a channel for these
passionate designers and artists to build
