ELLE.com and ELLEgirl.com are looking for an editorial intern to start in the beginning of January or sooner, if schedule permits. We are looking for a college student with prior editorial experience, preferably at a magazine website or fashion/beauty print publication. Editorial responsibilities for ELLEgirl.com include writing and posting quizzes, creating headlines for homepage and landing pages, daily blogging, and assisting editors with giveaways. Editorial responsibilities for both sites include pitching story ideas, transcribing interviews, conducting photo research, and completing general administrative duties. Important attributes: candidate must be a motivated and independent worker. Ability to enjoy a fast-paced environment without constant direction is a must. We’re looking for a full-time intern to start in mid-January for a minimum of 2 months. Candidates should be hardworking, efficient, creative, and most of all, passionate about the luxury sector and online shopping! Basic computing skills are also a must. The internship is a fantastic opportunity to add to your CV and gain experience in lifestyle journalism.

Your responsibilities will include everything from helping the editorial team with the Gift Guides and offers pages, to liaising with PRs, assisting with the general running of the site, and more. As part of a small team, your role will be really hands on. You’ll also get the opportunity to write articles on fashion, beauty, home and more.

You will get £50 a week to cover expenses (pro rata). The internship is based in London.

Cedric Buchet is a high fashion and fine art photographer who demonstrates a singular approach regardless of the genre. He has gained popular acclaim and recognition for his Prada campaigns and his advertising clients have ranged from Cacharel to Stella McCartney. His editorial clients include, but are not limited to, Vogue Paris, Vogue UK, i-D, Another Magazine, 10, and Self Service. In 2002 he held his first solo exhibition at the Jousse-Entreprise Gallery in Paris, and in 2004 his work was prominently exhibited at the MOMA (NYC) in the “Fashioning Fiction” exhibit. Job Qualifications:
The applicant must be responsible, dedicated, reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, upbeat, able to multi-task, listen well, work independently while be a team player, and have a passion for photography and the fashion industry. To be the right hand to this producer, you MUST be very organized. Ideally, the applicant would be proficient in Mac OSX and Microsoft Office and have experience in Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Capture One. The candidate should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills while being extremely detail oriented. Management skills, proper business phone manners and an understanding of digital capture/archiving are also helpful.

Job Description:
Applicant will be working as the digital technician on shoots (paid) and will also be working directly with the studio manager/producer in providing administrative/production support between shoots (unpaid). This opportunity will allow for the development and firm understanding of what it takes to produce fashion editorials and advertising campaigns from beginning-to-end, while gaining on-set experience and the knowledge of how to manage your own business. The applicant will also be organizing archived digital files during down time.
