CommonCreativNYC looking for contributors, profile subjects
Hello. My name is CommonCreativNYC.com. I am a revolutionary new site that was launched to make creativity common again.

I was created by a woman that has interned for award-winning womenswear designer Prabal Gurung, works at TASCHEN, one of the premier art bookstores in the country, interned in the fashion department at ELLE Magazine and volunteered at NYFW. She's also contributed to VOGUE.com and Twitter-viewed RJ Cutler, the director of "The September Issue."

I just launched a few weeks ago and I am looking for contributors (high-level positions such as Fashion Director, Managing Editor are also available, just state your interest) as well as profile subjects such as new fashion designers, incredible artists, stylists, editors of new fashion publications and anyone else that has done something brilliant and something creative.

If you're at all interested just send me a message. Goodbye.

Atomica Magazine is looking for contributors and submissions, and future staff members.
The plan is to produce a quarterly zine, with our first issue launching on January 15th, 2011.

The theme for this issue is OMEN. Think gypsies, fortunata, omens, buddha, and the orient.

If you are a photographer or an artist, you can submit your work to our flickr pool or by email.
You can also submit your portfolio for our review, and if we like what we see, we may assign you a task for an upcoming issue.
Reader input will be a very valuable aspect to this magazine. Here are some ideas for original content, which you are free to submit at any time:

*Your vintage family photos with a background story
*Streetstyle in your town, or shots you took in Paris at Fashion Week (or something similar)
*mini comic story for our "Child at Heart" section
*Shots of your amazing room and wardrobe
*Original articles and interviews covering anything from trends to exotic travel
*mail with your comments, questions, and concerns
*We love analogue experiments!

For more information on this exciting project, visit http://letsbethreads.blogspot.com/p/atomica-mag.html

Are you sartorially savvy? Do you love spreading the word about great shopping destinations? If you’re a male college student who answered these questions in the affirmative—or you know someone else who fits this profile—please read on:

AKIRA is an innovative men’s and women’s retailer based in Chicago. The company is a major player on the Windy City’s fashion scene and boasts a fast-growing national presence. Since its inception as a single women’s store in 2002, AKIRA has extended its influence to 14 boutiques in the Chicagoland area and an e-tail website (http://www.shopakira.com). Although ShopAKIRA.com doesn't currently sell men's fashions, AKIRA's men's division runs a blog (http://www.akirablog.com) that offers photo & video coverage of the men's stores' latest offerings.

As part of our mission to cultivate a reputation with fashion-forward individuals all over the country, we are seeking out male college students to serve as AKIRA Men's Campus Marketing Representatives. Over the course of the spring 2011 semester, Campus Marketing Reps will be asked to take on the following responsibilities:

-Approximately two marketing tasks a month (these may come in the form of in-person word-of-mouth tasks with other students on campus or viral marketing tasks completed online)

-Regular email correspondence with the members of AKIRA Chicago’s office

Reps will be compensated for their successful marketing efforts (i.e. increasing traffic to AKIRA’s online store at http://www.shopakira.com) with rewards such as gift cards and clothes. Although the position is part-time and will not interfere with Representatives’ class schedules, it will provide them with valuable experience for future careers in the fashion industry and significantly enrich their resumés.

If this opportunity appeals to you, please send your resumé to [email protected].

Popular bridal blog and forthcoming bridal print magazine is looking for a couple of good interns. We are the largest luxury bridal show in central California, and we are now gearing up to launch the first print issue of our bridal magazine, after launching a successful online magazine late last summer. Currently, we are looking for editorial interns as well as pr & social networking interns. All interns will report directly to the editor.
Duties include…

Editorial Interns

PR & Social Media Intern

-Assisting in growing and running our facebook, twitter and youtube accounts

We require that all interns have knowledge and interest in fashion, strong communication skills, impeccable taste, and an ability to make deadlines. Must stay up to date with bridal trends and the bridal blog scene. Moderate knowledge of wordpress or other blogging platforms is preferred, as well as basic photo editing skills.

School credit is strongly preferred, although not required. All interns who assist with the print issue will receive credit in the masthead as well as bylines.

This is a remote internship, unless you live in the Central, CA area. Contact kim [AT] ultimatebridalmag [DOT] com with relevant samples of your work, your resume pasted in the body of the email (no cover letters please), and a bit of info about you and why you would be perfect for this position.

T: The New York Times Magazine Fall Interns
T Magazine is looking for interns to assist during the fall term, starting immediately and through December. You must be able to receive school credit.

Interns will report to the fashion department (both men’s and women’s) and respond to a wide range of tasks and expectations from the editors. While there is a standard amount of administrative work involved (managing the closet, creating boards for photo shoots, making copies and scans, etc.), this internship is very hands-on and can be adapted to be more creatively involved (assisting on set, contributing to The Moment, etc), depending on your dedication and qualifications.

While an interest in fashion is to be expected, our ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, and be extremely organized and detail-oriented. Previous experience in fashion is preferred but liberal arts backgrounds are welcomed as well.

Please send all cover letters and resumes addressed to Rae Boxer, to [email protected]
