Westminster, UCL, Kings, Royal Holloway - these r a few top raters. London Met is just sooooo disorganised, i was really appalled at first but now im getting used to their blase approach, though i still feel its a bit unacceptable

My university offers study abroad to Queen Mary. I feel quite dumb when I visit "the student room" 'cause I can't exactly figure out all the lingo . I'm assuming its not the best school, but is atleast OK?

It has one of the best divisions in Theoretical Physics in the world. If you don't want to go there you can always apply to any other university in the UK through SOCRATES or whatever the US equivalent is though... can't you?

Ok guys I need help. I really want to move to London bc I am just itching to make a change. I visited the city once and fell in love with the historic buildings and leisurely atmosphere. So I would like to transfer to a college there, but I have no idea which ones are good and which are not. Currently I have a 3.6 gpa (which I think is like an A-) but I will have to be price conscious. Also, I'm american so I don't know if that will hurt or help my chances. Oh and one last thing, I would probably study International Relations or something with languages because I speak French and Spanish. Thanks in advance!

With a GPA like that, I would recommend UCL (where I went!) or LSE... though LSE is v. pricey for overseas students. You would expect to pay around £10,000 a year for an undergraduate course. King's College is also quite good. Being American won't hurt your chances at all! There were tons of American transfer students in my course (I did history). How many semesters are you planning on doing?

I studied at Queen Mary during the spring semester last year . . . overall I had a good experience but I would recommend choosing a school in Central London instead (QMUL is in the East End), especially if you are trying to be conscious of finances--I had to take the tube everywhere which got to be really expensive even with oyster cards and student discounts.

PM me if you have any specific questions, I'll be glad to talk to you about it!

Istituto Marangoni London.
Hi everyone

I'm looking into doing a one year fashion design course at Instituto Marangoni in London.

Is anyone studying this course currently?

I need advice and loads of tips as to how to go about this whole thing, the website is not really specific as to what degree you gain at the end of the one year course. What is the course like itself? and I guess I'm also interested in what the students/campus is like.

Please, please,please.. If you've had any experience with Instituto Marangoni in London, do post here and share... I will be extremely gratefull.

Thanks soo much in advance.

xox
