Here's a double mood board I did for a recent art assignment. I think I posted it back when I did it in the "inspiration" thread, but I really do love the way it came out (I swear, I rarely ever say that and mean it about my own stuff )
(pardon the nudity)
You need to move fashion forward when there's a reason to move fashion forward - Tom Ford
This is great.
When I first started school (3 yearssss ago) I hated when professors made us do inspiration and mood boards (colors, fabrics, pics) before starting a project. But, I've come to appreciate it and actually enjoy it; and I appreciate it alot more to see successful people in the industry do it =)
It's not exactly a mood board, but I've just about finished covering all my walls with my favorite ads. It looks great! Plus, it makes my room feel enormous! I'll take some pictures soon and post them.
mettchen, love your moodboard, .
v. clean/uncomplicated . . a mix of architecture, patterns & fashion from what I can see.
gius, oh that link has superb work!.
my moodboard is always evolving . . I can't stare at the same pictures for more than a few weeks w/out becoming restless.
currently its a mix of my favorite print ads & editorials w/my own notes & sketches attached.
I try to combine ideas that are realistic/wearable w/those that are more impractical/whimsical.
Mettchen, I love you'r moodboard - so simple and gorgeous! I made these on the computer yesterday. They're sort of like the different characters I try to embody when dressing - I also posted an entry on my blog about them here:
