One of the Best Drawing / Anatomy Tutorials I've Ever Seen, For Free and Online

http://the-structure-of-man.blogspot.com/

This guy has managed to put up over 180 lessons on how to sketch a human with good proportions without using a model. Click on the link, and scroll all the way down, it's all on YouTube and he's damn thorough. I think I'm going to send him a few bucks. Tell me if you like it, and sharpen those pencils.

I like it.
I have my 2B pencil ahoy.

(... however, I'm only on lesson 1 of 178 )

so useful! as soon as I read this I went to the university store to get a new 2b - currently on lesson 7 I believe, I am so proud of myself that I can let go of my stick men and make something atad more realistic

I haven't got past lesson 4 yet. The guy draws alot like Andrew Loomis, which I htink is the father of modern drawing.

Very good, indeed. I'm working through it currently. I didn't do so well at illustration when in school; but, they kept trying to make it a fine arts class. Structure of Man moves much more quickly and I'm surprised how much skill I'm developing. I'm only up to lesson 20, so I don't know if there's a "clothing the figure" component on down the road.

I need refreshers, glad to see someone is using it. Keep at it! Post in the sketching thread.

I truly think:

A: The whole 7-8 head 'fashion' figure is flawed and in no way can help you design clothes to fit real people

and

B: How can you understand how clothes drape and wrap without physical landmarks on the body?

OK, the guy had since decided to sell his videos, but the first 15 are still there to watch:
