Can she afford it? Maybe she is having financial difficulties? Because from what I understand from the news, America is having quite a hard time. Anyway, just follow your passion. I just found out what I really want do a year ago and I have been studying in the wrong degree. Still, complete it and continue. =) Best of luck. You should look at FIT also.

^^ Yeah I'd like to know about any scholarships they offer.
'cause I would have to move from Australia if I got in and that alone would be astronomically expensive... then of course there's the extra how many hundreds of thousands the course actually costs! Arg!
I really hate the mentality that your education is restricted by your finances. education should be universally accessible to all.

same for me. + I am planning to do a AAS instead of a BA. It's just crazy to do the BA. 500K for the entire course (incl. all expenses)? You gotta be sh***ing me.

Hey, I'm going to apply for AAS program in fashion marketing for spring 2010 semester. Is there anyone who here with the same plans? Or maybe some of you are already studying it or applied now? Everything is interesting for me about application for this program Does anyone now how many studentes do they usually except and how many applicants there are?
I'm also a bit scared, how much they are interested in my bachelor degrees - cause I studied law, thats really hard and hardly anyone used to get high marks at my uni... and I'm not an exception...

Hi everyone! I'm new to this thread but have applied to Parsons for Fall 2009 Fashion Marketing program! I'm still waiting to hear back from them but does anyone know the acceptance rate for that program and how it is weighted in terms of the admission decision?? I have a 4yr undergrad degree in biology which i HATED and am now hoping to pursue my real interest of fashion marketing. My GPA is not very strong, probably like a 2.8, i had to redo two biology courses when at university but I did go for an interview at Parsons and the woman who interviewed me seemed to really enjoy the things I had to say and I think my home exam is pretty strong. What do you guys think? Can anyone give me some advice? I am freaking out a little because I want to go to Parsons soo badly but don't know how much they will look into my transcript

I understand you very well, just that I havent applied yet - I'll apply for spring. And I study law, which I hate, I havent got the perfect marks and I'm a bit scared that this could harm me a lot. I wrote them a letter and they send that they evaluate everything equally Though I guess if they really liked you, they will not pay too big attention to the transcripts. So, its nice to see Im not the only one with the same problems Do you know how many people they accept and hot many people applied?

Hello everyone,

I'm French and I am looking to send an application to Parsons School of Fashion in New York in the BBA program. Yet, I do not understand what I have to send through the application I thought it was a one page essay about fashion/design management but when I am on the website they ask me to make the "Parsons Challenge" which is composed of pictures taken, video made, 3d, collages and stuff.

Is it normal ?

Damn guys i'm so stressed out coz i don't clearly understand what the Parsons Challenge is supposed to be!! Do the "art pieces" have to be so well elaborated ? or just "normal" coz i want to go to the BBA so drawing, sculptures, painting are not usual to me...

What kind of stuff did you guys send ? kind of

yeah i had to do the challenge for foundation, but i guess they require for fashion management, which i find kind of weird.. but it can be whatever you like really. i made my paintings really simple, but just make sure you can explain the piece in the essay that goes along with it. the prompt is vague because they want you to be really free with it. just don't make it an autobiography
