Last year our AP Euro teacher had us take a practive multiple choice. When we were done he drew up a chart that had numbers 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 going across the top, and ranges of MC scores going down. At each of the intersections there was a percentage. You found your MC range and it told you what percentage of people in that range got a 5, 4, 3, etc. (Um. Sorry if that's the most confusing thing in the world.)
Hey everyone! I was wondering if you could all do a favor for me?
I have a bio-stats project, and I would really appreciate if anyone who has at some point studied in the U.S. responded to this poll of mine.
If you were born in the U.S., how would you rate the educational system? (poor, moderate, excellent)
If you were born elsewhere, how would you rate the educational system?(poor, moderate, excellent)
You can message or comment me with your answers, I would appreciate it soooo much!!
Need help with a school project-which girl do you think is prettier?
And can you tell me why you think she is prettier or not as pretty. Credit patrick mcmullan, globe photos, lfi, rex, artandcommerce, agence angeli nl images
Girl 1:
or Noemie Lenoir
The first girl, definately. She looks very relaxed, comfortable, and genuinely happy in all of her pictures. She isn't overly made up or styled.
The second girl is pretty, to be sure, but she looks too "perfect". She doesn't have any quirks or unique traits about her. I find the little differences in people to be what makes them most attractive, and the second girl just doesn't seem to have any of that.

Need help with a schoolthing, it includes fashion!
Hey everybody!
My name's Milla and I'm kind of new here. I really need your help with something. In my English C course we need to do a speech for 15 minutes about something and it has to be about an english speaking country.
"Oral Presentation of Knowledge of Current Condition and Culture of any English-Speaking Country. This knowledge may focus on areas such as politics, societal life, religion, literature, film, art or music in any Englsih-speaking country"
And I'm going to write about fashion! I was wondering if you guys could help me out making a big question, that will have to include talking about any of the areas above, that I could use in the speech? And oh, what does societal life mean?
I think that what they mean by "Societal life" is something that is part of everyday life of a person in that country ... their customs about things like having a dinner party, dating and hanging out with friends, or what they do for fun, how they like to shop ... anything like that.
It will be difficult to speak about fashion ...without seeing any pictures, but I'm sure it can be done. I assume that it's an exercise in practing your English more than being about your knowledge of art, culture, etc.
Since they are asking for you to discuss about "Current Condition and Culture", I would think that it would be best to discuss fashion from the perspective of the consumer ... the people who wear the clothes, not the designers.
Here's some ideas:
Maybe you could discuss something about a fashion event like New York Fashion Week or London Fashion Week, which is as much a social phenomenom as it is a showcase for the desgingers. People love to attend the shows and the tickets are very hard to come by. And then those who attend feel the need to really be fashionable almost like it's a competition.
Maybe "streetstyle"? We have an whole forum here dedicated to just that, by city .. with lot's of pictures. It's what the young people all over the world are wearing on the streets ... the trendy, fun stuff. Of course you would need to put the general ideas into words ... if you could find a common theme.
Here is a really bizzare idea, that I would do myself, since I have an interest in it. There is this thread call Chonga /Chola style in the Trendspotting. It's about a sub culture of Hispanic Americans (for the most part) in the southeast and southwest areas of the U.S. They are very recognizable by their distinctive styles but it's really a cultural phenomenom ... with some if it's roots in the Zoot Suit era of the 1940's. If you read the whole thread and then do some research, you could have an interesting speech.
Or ... what about Hip-Hop ... the music and the black culture that has inspired teens all over the U.S. to immitate that type of dress?
London ... in the 60's ... the mods and the rockers ... where mini skirts started ... Carnaby Street, etc.. All of that influenced young people all over the world ... a major fashion revolution.
Im thinkning about lookin at some pictures from a fashion show or something else, and then draw it myself on a big paper and use that in the speech as well. Maybe 2 different types of fashion perhaps? and then compare them and talk about NY fashion week and talk about how fashion has an affect on the world like sociology(identity building) and..hm.. also how you can by the help of fashion place a more accurate date on historic paintings?
