Try thier coporate sites (not their shopping sites) or look on their shopping sites for their site map ... and search various places on that part of their site, including "Investor Relations" and "Corporate Governance"... which often lists officers of the company.

Coach is a U.S. luxury brand ... that's all that comes to mind at this moment. Unless you consider Tommy Hilfiger, Donna Karan and Diane Von Furstenberg luxury ... maybe?

Hey guys! Im here once again cause I need some help. For a college paper I need to search for a certain theme and develop it with pictures. So, here is where you guys come in, I have this picture that it's from an editorial that I've done and I want you to tell me what it reminds you off, it could be a scene from a movie, a song, an era in fashion, an icon, a piece of art, a historic movement, well anything really!

THANKS!

If you want to see the rest of the pictures..

Uh ... that link to the photo is dead ...... but I was able to look at it ... I'm assuming it's the first one, the B&W of the girl sitting on the hood of a car?

Car looks 50's to me (probably it's not, but with that chrome bumper .... it brings that to mind). The hat and the "hot pants" she's wearing make her look vaguely 70's (again, not that they are actually 70's looks ... they just give that impression in this shot). Looks like it was shot in a park on a golf course ... which doesn't say anything to me one way or the other. So, I guess "vintage" is what comes to mind , but only for this one image. The rest pretty much look like hot rod magazine shots ... except the girl is more fashion model than glamor model so overall it's more of a contradiction than anything.

Research
Hi,

I recently joined your blog and wondered if I could ask a question. I am currently undertaking an MSc in Marketing at Oxford Brookes University and have chosen to study why people use social media sites to interact with fashion brands and what they contribute. I am carrying out netnographic research by looking at content on Facebook and Twitter but would really like to speak to some people about why they interact. Please could you advise me if it is possible for me to pose 2 or 3 questions about motivation to your users in order to generate data for me?

Thanks!

Luxury and e-Commerce
Hi everyone,

My name is Fabien and I am currently writing my master thesis about luxury and e-commerce at Stockholm School of Economics. The purpose is to investigate how the Internet is used for purchasing luxury goods.

I would highly appreciate if you could take 5-10 minutes of your time to answer the survey. As long as you have an interest in luxury goods, you are suitable for the study.

If you have any questions, or if you are interested in the results of the study, please let me know and I will be happy to help you.

Here is the link to the survey: https://hhs.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_3w6cLNJOcijVVIw

The survey is available in English and French.
Thank you very much for your help!

Best regards,

Fabien

I'm writing my masters dissertation about Spice Girls and I was wondering if anyone can recommend any websites/books where I can find some information about SG's fashion? Thank you!

Hi, nicestthing!

What's the theme/subject about? Is about clothes or their designers? or is it more like a PR case study or about product placement, or about the socio-economical impact it had in the UK retail industry? I don't think is going to be easy to find a source for what are you looking for! That's why you are doing a dissertation! Your final work is going to be THE source for that matter. But hopefully I'm wrong and you've already found the Most Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Spice Girls Fashion (Volumes I-XII)! :p

Hi, Emma!

Welcome!

Well, you came to a great place to find answers for your research because this is a forum (not a blog! ). You can interact with both moderators and some users through the forum or through private messages. You can even create and post polls!

But why don't you go directly where your subjects are living? For instance, I'd go and visit a fashion brand's Facebook or Twitter site, then I'd took note of the users interacting with the brand (some should have public blogs), then I'd just Google and contact them directly through their own blogs.

Simply Bookers
Hello everyone,

It's been a few year since posting here and it looks like so much has changed!
Fashion moves far too quickly.

Anyway - this thread is about BOOKERS. Is anyone here a booker? If so I'd very much like to hear your answers to the following:

1. What makes a successful booker?
2. Who are the best in the business (and the worst)...and why?
3. What are the most fun parts of your job
4. Any nightmare agency stories?
5. In your opinion, how important are bookers to the running of a successful agency and why?

Anyone else aspiring to be or already in the fashion biz is welcome to put their two cents in!
This is for a personal project as well as for a friend who wants to become a booker , so all info very much appreciated

F0F0> Thanks for replying
Fashion is a small part of the whole thing [it doesn't have a title yet] but what I need is to discuss how their outfits/uniforms borrow elements from other fashions or subcultures, what their clothes signify + a general information about their fashion, what kind of clothes they wore etc.

Are there any vintage fans out there?
I am currently working on a small and intimate fashion project.

The idea in short, is a tightly edited collection of vintage designer and high end clothing, which I will initially retail online, and possibly in a few independent stores in my hometown.

The purpose of this thread I suppose is to find out your opinions for the sake of research a well as genuine curiosity.

Im hoping to promote around this time next year, releasing the collection in A/W 2012.

As an avid vintage fan, I defintely know what I want out of a vintage shopping experience, but Id love to know what other people think, so I've included a few questions below.

P.S Feel free to elaborate on answers and ask me any questions.. I'm totally open and looking forward to responses.

  • What is it that you like about vintage clothing?
  • What sort of items do you tend to purchase whilst vintage shopping?
  • Do you tend to buy your vintage online or in store (please state your choice of answer and why)?
  • What did you enjoy about your last vintage shopping experience?
  • What would you change about the experience?
