Hello, everyone!

I'm writing a piece on SPFW for a travel website, one of the questions I have to answer is how a brand or designer is selected to be part of SPFW's line up. Any insider tips or thoughts, please?

I believe the brand must pay to be there and be somehow known and of quality, but does anyone have real information on how this work, please?

(ps: I'm sorry if this has being discussed somewhere else on the forum, I wasn't able to use the search box, I've got the 404 error every time I tried.)

Most FW's require a large payment and have standards your brand must meet. I don't know anything about SPFW. however.

Did you check their site? http://ffw.com.br/spfw/verao-2016-rtw/

I can't read Portuguese, so I can't tell you anything ... but there might be some information on the site, if you dig deep enough. There might also be a Public Relations firm named on this site, so that company would probably have the information ... if you can figure out who is doing their PR.

Thanks BetteT.

Unfortunately their website doesn't say anything about it, I know the company that does their PR. But I haven't thought about asking them about it, great idea, thanks.

Survey on vegan fashion
Hi there!

I would be really thankful, if you could spare a few minutes to complete a survey concerning vegan and animal friendly fashion: http://goo.gl/forms/ro3zOMJKdR

It’s for my masters’ thesis and you can enter my giveaway to win a designer faux leather clutch, if you like.

^ It looks like you want only female residents of the UK, is that right?

Discussion for Fashion Writers - working in magazines, publishing, blogging
I'm looking for some more insight into Fashion Writing and the education/career opportunities that lie within it and would really appreciate some input from you lovely professionals in the industry! From journalists, copy writers, authors, bloggers, etc, If any of you have a little time to spare to help me out, I would greatly appreciate it! I'd love to know more about various aspects of the industry, from uni courses and if you feel your education benefitted you or what you would have liked to have learned that would have helped you career-wise and to how easy or difficult it has been to find employment in writing.

I'm a freelance copy editor myself and just wondering how many others are in similar positions, we could provide an interesting insight to those starting out or thinking of entering the industry - the pros and cons, and realistic expectations of work, etc, are information I didn't have when I chose to work with the editorial side of fashion and would love to share thoughts and advice with you all, and learn others points of views too!

Just use our search tool ... the one on the upper right: "Search this Forum" and use those as keywords for your search and to refine it more, click on "search thread titles only".
