I went to one at the Art institute in Chicago when I was in H.S. It was pretty cool b/c I learned begginer info on different parts of the fashion industry. We sketched designs, learned some very basic pattern making, CAD, etc..

9 Heads by Nancy Riegelman comes highly recommended. My sister who's just completed her degree in fashion design told me it was-and still is-her bible. Not cheap but worth it I'm told.

If learning from home is what interests you, I recommend the following:

Nine Heads by Nancy, Fashion-Incubator.com with Kathy Fasanella and The Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing.

I read some reviews about 9 head it s said to be a bible as you said. But the book seems to be very huge. Is it ok even if i am a fresh beginer? What i want to learn is especially menwear drawing. Well, i ll try to borrow it first. Thanks
