well depends how much you are willing to pay.. but canon eos 350 is really good digital camera but it costs like 850 €.. my own desire to get that camera. it takes really good macrophotos, and the zoom is very very good. it is a really good camera for a person how wants have good pictures but is just photographing for a hobby
Generally, it's the eye, not the gear, that makes a photograph great. Having said that, I would recommend the Nikon D70s or D50. I have been shooting with Nikons for 30 years, and they have become an extension of myself. You might also consider the Canon Rebel XT. Cart yourself down to a camera store and 'try one on for size'... Avoid Konica/Minolta cameras. They announced today that they are getting out of the Photo business, sold out to SONY! Good luck, and ask a lot of questions. There's a lot of help out there.
i don't believe versace goddess aka missoni heiress is a professional photographer....

if you are just starting out but want a camera that takes pics as good as the pros....go for the digital rebel XT by canon. (boy did that just sound like a commercial ) there are a bunch of different lenses they have for it and it's been one of their most popular cameras, both for pros and for beginners....i think they are about $800+ for the basic camera, but there are tons of accessories and stuff to get for it. and if you go to camera stores, apparently the canon cameras have the most universal ability to take other lenses and filters and such...hope that helps
