yep, that is true... actually Marilyn Monroe had to be Holly Golightly... I also read the Truman Capote's book and the real Holly was like Monroe looks. And Audrey acted this bitchy Holly to adorable!.. and I guess that's why the film has happy ending instead of the book ! But I am a big fan of Audrey's acting... but it's just a matter of taste
Yes, I read it too (saw the movie first) and the real Holly is quite different! A little more crass and crude. Audrey made her totally lovable and so women could relate to that feeling of lonely desperation. Marilyn couldn't have played her as Audrey did.
