one of the great beauties, but like all the icons, it's her personality that puts in such high esteem now. what does everyone think of the lara stone/bardot comparison?
I feel just as insulted as I do when someone compares a model to Kate Moss...
Lara is a very beautiful, interesting looking woman, but Bardot was the ultimate sex kitten. I don't know how you would compare that?
Why does the media/people always have to keep comparing "new faces" to the icons? You won't have another Bardot. If you had another BB each decade she wouldn't be iconic...
I scanned some images from Brigitte's autobiography "Initials BB". The photos are nothing new, but I think her self-written notes compliment them. As this book has not been published in English, I translated the original captions myself, so any typos or grammatical errors are my fault.
There are a lot of pictures, but here's the first batch.
Thank you so much Fiammifero !! This is a brilliant idea, and it's such a pity that the book was never translated into English, I'm sure it would be successful.

I wholeheartedly agree And I particularly dislike the whole "oh she's blonde with gap teeth so she looks like Bardot".
Do you see any gap ? No you don't. You're welcome.

Thank you!! I want this book but have been unable to find it in English.

Reason: quoted images
been a fan of bb forever but something i can never find are quotes from her about her hair and or makeup. like how she did her hair, makeup, etc...
i know there are a ton of youtube videos but i want to know how SHE did it!
^I mostly want to know how she cut and styled her hair in her early brunette --> "...And god created woman" days. Youtube only gives you over-styled bouffants:/
^ yeah me too !! I absolutely love her hair in the mid 1950s.
Her haircut is amazing, I love the curls on her temples/cheeks. I don't know if there's a name for it (In French it's called "accroche coeurs") ?
I just love how her hair frames her face, it's beautifully done :

So far there's really no precise information about this...we've talked about it on a Bardot fansite and no one knows exactly. I just remember that she didn't wash her hair every day.
Are there any more photos of Brigitte without make-up, like the first picture in post #40? I'd like to see how she looked naturally, she always wore make-up.
