She was acting, not making herself out to be that way, even though she was like that at the time, it's not like that reflects who Edie was...She wasn't just a pathetic drug addicted faliure.

I see. I meant the actual events, too...but usually things are changed in movies... and it sucks . Hope most of this comes out right, and like most of you..I have doubts. Just don't think there should be full-on bashing when it hasn't come out yet

And I think she looks gorgeous without the eye makeup...IMO, she was a natural beauty.

Edie did have fantastic legs. Prehaps from genes/not eating/ doing jazz and ballet dancing twice a day? She said that was the reason for her wearing tights all the time, she was dancing so much that she didn't bother to take them off.

^ thanks for the picture! i'd never seen her without makeup. i think she looks more vulnerable and young; still beautiful but in a more fragile way...

maybe the makeup was her mask? maybe it expressed the side of her she wanted to show, while hiding the rest? just my thoughts...

Um....I do realise that. I adore her. The point is that she would rather make movies where she appeared that way than not make movies at all. She wasn't a victim of the industry; she worked it as best she could.

I am very worried that this movie will...
a) just plain suck

b) and glamorize Edie's addiction to speed. Where I live it is becoming very popular again, very scary.

I don't know about being victimless. I mean she got breast implants in the 60's even though she was beautiful without them. Right there is a whistle for low self esteem.

I've never seen that picture of Edie without makeup, someone fixed it-and its not a compliment to Edie.......shed hate it too.People really need to leave photos as the are suppose to be.
Now,a REAL photo of Edie withour makeup-has never been seen,so dont get all on me about my opinion of that fake photo.
