A few days ago I saw Franco Zeffirelli's The Taming of the Shrew (1967). Although some scoffed at the idea of Liz doing Shakespeare, she and Richard funded this film themselves because they believed in it so much.

^^ If there's one thing about Liz in the late 60's through the 80's that drives me nuts, it's all that tanning she did!
It was so unnecessary, she had such a gorgeous milky white complexion naturally. Anyhoo, I love the first picture. ![]() So happy you guys like the screencaps! Sorry if there are a lot, it was such a visually lush film that I kind of went overboard. It's a special movie - great to see the Burtons together in lighter, more fun fare. And Elizabeth had some brilliant moments in it. ![]()
