Hi vikingqueen - according to wikipedia, she didn't actually have a lobotomy - it seems like it was a mistaken conclusion taken as fact for many years. And the stories involving rape were probably added to her ghost-written autobiography in order sensationalize her story to sell more....still a very sad life.

One of the best and touching movies I ever seen is "Frances" with Jessica Lange,
it's a great movie and I recommend it if your interested in great acting. 2 pics of the real Frances Farmer  source - ebay

 i knew nothing about her. my mom has that nirvana album, i never thought frances farmer would actually exist.

i think she's jus luminous. and her face looks intelligent too.
i dont think jessica lange looks like her at all. she reminds me alot of katherine hepburn but with softer features.

i mean that frances farmer reminds me of katherine hepburn from some angles but she has softer features compared to hepburn
