I see Rachel Bilson in her, maybe a wee bit of Julia Roberts. I heard there were photos of her where you could see track marks. Model Photos, guess that was before photoshop!

Gia's story is absolutely chilling. One of the very few stories that has brought me to tears. What she had to go through... and what she put herself through... heartbreaking.

It makes me mad that those closest to Gia didn't reach out to her more but then I realize that she was probably very difficult to deal with due to the drugs she was on. And it's true that you're the only one that can truly save yourself but her family life didn't help. It sounded like she took ENORMOUS amounts of heroin at a time (one documentary said lethal amounts) which shows that she was desperately trying to escape from reality. I don't know... I guess you can only speculate now since she's gone. Poor girl

Yes. Like that shot of her and the other model, where you can't even see Gia's face - she still outshines the other model to the point where she doesn't even exist as anything else than a prop...

Hey! Did you guys know that she was the FIRST known woman in North America to die from AIDS? That is sad. This year will be 21 years since she died

I wonder if she ever had any idea about how people, like us, would still be talking about her.
