I just started to watch classic bollywood movies and I am so into Madhubala and Meena Kumari. So beautiful women and I love their acting too.

Nice try sonam, but no. She doesn't compare, especially to Meena Kumari.

6 legendary actresses immortalized in classic postal stamps
By Bollywood Hungama News Network, February 26, 2011 - 15:16 IST

A while ago we had informed you the Indian Postal Department's plans to launch postal stamps featuring 6 popular yesteryear's actresses. We now bring you a sneak peek at these truly timeless, classic postal stamps.

Devika Rani who is best known for her role in Achhut Kanya finds herself immortalized on this postal stamp.

One of the first stars of Bengali cinema, Kanan Devi also finds a stamp in her name.

The legendary Meena Kumari is immortalized in her famous Pakeezah pose

One of the greatest actresses of Hindi cinema- Nutan- too gets a fitting tribute in the form of this postal stamp

Leela Naidu, who featured in Vogue magazine's list of 'The World's Ten Most Beautiful Women', also gets commemorated with this postal stamp.

Last but not the least is Savithri, who has done not only Hindi films but was a big name down South having starred in Tamil and Telugu films.

Whoops forgot to add Savithri to the my 'go Andhra' cheer as well.

I do think they could have found better portraits of some of the ladies...but it's always nice seeing them.
