well i read her biography awhile back and it has interviews with family and close friends. she just wasnt truly happy in her marriage, she wanted to go back to acting. She LOVED acting. Plus being royalty was a difficult job

It is so sad that she had to choose him over her true love of acting. She was amazing and I wish she could have continued on.

I don't think it was THAT tragic, I mean she didn't die as young as James Dean or Natalie Wood or even Marilyn Monroe. She was old enough that her health was failing her but she had a good run and was well into her 50's before she died.

Of course she was classically beautiful and probably the epitome of the new england look, definitely chic but I've read that her personality was a bit of a cold fish.

She is quoted as saying that she wanted to marry the Prince because she just couldn't marry someone with less wealth or breeding than herself.

^Even though she was 53 when she died, it still was a tragic death. i mean she was a woman loved by Monaco and America, and she suddenly died in a car accident.

I read alot about Grace Kelly and her personality might have come off as cold but she was actually shy. Thats actually emphasized in her biography as well as in other interviews.

as for her marriage, she wasnt head over heal for Prince Rainier but she did love him. Her father was the kind of man who wanted her to marry someone well bred, and Grace wanted to please her father. Her family, before she became an actress, was one of the most well respected families in Philadelphia. She did love her husband, she just wasnt madly in love with him.
