Helmut Berger

I particularly remember this beautiful actor in some of great Luchino Visconti's movies as 'The Damned" and "Ludwig". He was, in my opinion very charismatic and gorgeous, with a kind of 'inner' class, if you see what I mean.
What do you think of him?

i´ve admired helmut berger for years.given the right script and the right director he was a brilliant actor ("ludwig II"

.."ludwig 1881" from 1993 is highly recommendable too) and i´ve always loved his classic and elegant morbidity.

I believe Helmut Berger posed for the only nude shot that Helmut Newton took of a man. I don't think we are allowed to post artistically nude images of men on tfs, so the curious can follow the link to French Photo's archive section...

oh my goodness,this pictures could cause an unhealthy infatuation with me.he´s still THE icon of decadency at its most refined

.and he was so damn good as ludwig.the role of his life.i´m not a huge fan of dorian gray but i mean the whole film not solely helmut berger´s performance.he himself would have been the perfect dorian.just imagine visconti could have directed it .he also needed a good director to fully use his talentsit´s a pity that helmut berger destroyed himself so much.he could have done so much more than he did in the end
