I guess the perception of their union would be who's book you read or what movie or documentary you watched. I wouldn't know how Jackie behaved towards Ari as I was not there as a witness, however, I would bet the bank Ari was no "saint" in that marriage either .
I don't feel that way just based on how she behaved towards her husband, but that she was so intent on wrangling money out of their union, even after her Aristotle's death strikes me as gold-digger like.

These two people were not stupid, she was his prize, his trophy and he had all the money she would ever need. Right before he died he tried to cut her from everything, but he didn't quite make it. What she got was peanuts compared to his vast fortune.
On another note, here are some of the pictures I really love, probably because they are in color:
Well, to each their own. Thankyou for starting this, Mercedes!
I have the most beautiful book of photography on Jackie.. I wish I could scan all the pictures! I will slowly add to this thread, as I find my favorites.. I don't think there is a picture of Jackie I don't love.
NP. I can’t wait to see what you’ll add AF.

After reading a few books about her she didnt strike me as a very nice personality but it's fair to say she had something very regal and chic about her,I loved a few things she wore in in the 1950's but I think she got very cool during the 60's...
Jackie is certainly a icon of style, but I'm not sure about class, after how she behaved towards Aristotle Onassis.
Very true. The way she acted during their marriage proved to the public that she was a whore. She basically married him for his money. As Alexander Onassis once said of their marriage "They go well together because my father loves names and Jackie loves money."
She wasn't even by his side when he died. His death was inevitable and she was shopping instead. Very sad
Plus, she did have great style, but she was ugly as sin. Her face looks like a wrinkled prune.
I swear, you will not last on this board very long.
Now, what are you talking about?
She's really ugly. Her face is nasty. Most people in history have agreed. Even admitted herself that her sisters in law used to make fun of her because she wasn't attractive.
Ethel Kennedy once said of jackie "she's just a really ugly woman with great clothing"
Ethel is a ugly butthole for a face
so she's no one to talk
and Jackie will always be elegantly good looking.
Those cheekbones, the set apart eyes, the french chin, it suits her well.
Though, Lee was better looking IMO
