Savoir Blair
Inspiration: Peggy Moffitt
Bio: Peggy Moffitt (born in California in 1939) is best known as the premier model and muse for the late fashion designer Rudi Gernreich. Her unique look has now become iconic of the 60s fashion scene

The edit has Selma's name on it but this is all about Peggy - the hair, the makeup, the high contrast black and white, everything just evokes Peggy's image. I think this is a very well done editorial in terms of styling and construction. Selma looks enough like Peggy to pull off the stylized mod look and overall everything flows together in an appealing way.

^thanks!.
Luxx, love the peggy moffit editorial!, I can't believe I hadn't seen that, I'm not sure Selma was the best option for the story (I'm admittedly biased!), but she does make a dignified tribute. a very subtle one that keeps the identity of both ladies. thanks for posting it!.

I really love Edie so I think these are great - Edie's lasting presence as a muse is incredible. There are many different designers and photographers who have been inspired by her allure. I think the styling on this is great - very 1960s and completely in tune with that Edie herself might have worn. Catrina is an odd choice for model though - she doesn't really look like Edie at all in my view but I like her a great deal otherwise. She has a mod look so it goes well with the 60s theme even if it isn't 100% Edie-esque.

great posts, bordélique!.. I always loved the Versus FW 04 make-up and it all makes sense now when looking at the original.

INSPIRATION: ROXY MUSIC- COUNTRY LIFE
Country Life is the fourth album by Roxy Music, released in 1974 and reaching the #3 spot in the UK charts. It is considered by many critics to be among the band's most sophisticated and consistent.
This album made as much headlines for its risque sleeve as it did for its music. The sleeve showing two semi naked females (Constanze Karoli and Eveline Grunwald) was controversial for its time. The album had to be shrink wrapped in USA and even some countries had alternative versions of the cover photo showing only the a close up of the girls faces and some issues had just the background foilage only.
