I don't think so , but I also remember that his wife - Nathalie - mother of Anthony Delon , was no angel and had just as many skeletons in the cupboard as Alain .

PS

Didn't Delon get into some kind of trouble over introducing some of his underground friends to Madame Mitterand , wife of the French president ?

Anna Karina, thanks for your 'Romy-link'! I've boolmarket it immediately. I'm a great fan of Romy! And always has been.
I have seen almost all her films.
There are great [photo] books and autobiography's of her around.

Yes Alain Delon is a bloody bastard. When he left her [Romy] for his later wife Nathalie he let her know that by leaving a bundle of roses in their appartment with a note with only the message that he left her for Nathalie. She was devastated. He's besides a criminal a coward as well.

How strange, this is the second time I do visit the Fashion Spot and yesterday I found another woman as an icon here who I do admire a lot: Patti Smith. Anna Karina we seemed to have the same taste! Because it was you to if my memory serves me well?

I really liked the Sissi movies...perhaps cause I'm a sucker for romance!!! I thought she looked so sweet in them!

love her love her love her!
she achieved great success in France and got two caeser awards.
she was more popular than catherine deneuve back then,
but her life was sooooo tragic. poor romy............
btw i also see some kate resemblance in her and madame chanel liked her a lot!

she is said to be one of the only two german actors who learned to speak french well enough to be allowed on parisian theatre stages. i owe her much respect for that.

and i'm fascinated (i still don't know if in a good or bad way..) how she forced her appearance to be as non-sissi-like as possible in her later years. her face changed so much, from the baby face she had when she was young to the face she had when she was older, she accentuated every impact life has left in her face. see picture above.

(i don't mean, she aged ungracefully.. i guess it's the way she wanted to be seen, a woman with a history and not a child with a beautiful but 'plain'(?) face.)

I've always loved Romy . I have seen "la piscine" ("swimming pool"?) dozens of times. I'm not sure about her sense of style though, but she was a really moving actress and woman.
