They most certainly do clap and yell, remember there are two tapings. One is for the media, agents, casting directors, editors etc. and the other is for celebrities, bloggers, and the general public who purchased a ticket. There is lots of clapping and yelling

^ totally, she was the best for me in the show. There is quite a bit of media coverage over how perfect her butt is.
