Either way, still think Liu Wen should've closed Tod's, might as well. Led the finale but she was 'VIP' la Mariacarla. Lastly, she was the first and only Asian for their RTW shows, how about a closing moment for her return.

No Asians at Les Copains. And Emporio could do so much better after many years now - they've got Asia/China under their belts tightly, so why not reflect that more - it really look silly.

Great start for the weekend with Bottega!

Glad the folks are willing to include Asians for the show. Hopefully this will be consistent and the standard for the respected brand.

Also, glad that there is more than one Asian man this time. Three should be the minimum!

Oh. And THREE Asians to start back to back - don't see that too often!

Seems Blumarine has reverted back to their early days... two steps backward. Sure, it's probably just this season, but again, don't this just prove that Asians are just seasonal and only accepted on certain collections? Why can't they be present every season? What's going on? Plenty of Asian women would look decent in their designs. Not intended for them perhaps?

Alright. Like Valentino, why are there more shops in Asia - both Middle East and East Asia - than in Europe? What are the gains and sales in places like Japan, Taiwan, China and S. Korea versus those in Europe? Who is making more? That I want to know.

#ShouldRethinkWhenYouAreMakingCashInPlacesLikeAsia #ReflectThatOrCloseYourShops

The same applies to Jil Sander. There are more stores in Asia than of Europe.

I genuinely ask this: why is there just one store/boutique in all of Italy? Can't be right. However, according to their site, so hopefully that was legit and showed all stores (if not, this whole thing would be faulty).

Like Valentino and Blumarine and to reiterate... WHY ARE THERE SO MANY STORES IN PLACES IN ASIA THAN EUROPE? Why? Are profits and condition that great in Asia that more stores are developed there?

Of course, we know that quantity of stores doesn't mean a high turnout of sales. Still. Why open shops if there are no prospects to make or gain. Terrible business and waste of time, effort and money. Therefore, one reasonable explanation is that Jil Sander, Blumarine and Valentino continue to open/have many shops in Asia is because they prosper financially. No?

So... WTH is this? Take all those money and can't even show some decency in the representation of those people. Sure, it's fashion and all about fantasy and whatnot. Why can't Asian be part of the fantasy too? But go back to practicality and on a more straightforward and humane thinking: where is the ethos in the company/brand to connect with the consumer that buys their products, to ensure an equal representation of their base, in its cast? Where's that? Two Asian (or zero) every/most season just doesn't add up.

#IfGoingToOpenMoreShopsThenIncludeMoreAsiansToo #LetsNotHaveBlatantDiscrepancy

End semi-rant inquiry. But still valid questions and a conversation should ensue. Might not know the financial and background info of said brands here, but this factual.

The unknown model in Irina Vitjaz FW17 (New York) is Janine Tugonon. She also walked for Malan Breton.

^ Thank you for the ID, I recorded her name; she looked gorgeous at Vitjaz.

Was confused as to why Hyoni posted herself backstage at D&G, thought it was a throwback... turns out she walked the show! Great seeing past faces.

And hello Danni! Glad they remember her, now that's loyalty right there too.

D&G did a pretty good job (maybe another model like Cong/Yoon Young/Luping/Dylan/Yue Han, etc. would have been nice too). The Asian non-models were aplenty as well! Terrific effort.

Applaud Missoni's presentation and message but disappointed as well. After all, Asian models are women too. Humans too. Get that there are at least Asians in the cast, but three just doesn't cut it to me. The overall cast size could accommodate more Asian faces. Let's be realistic.

Of course, it's Missoni's show, they can do whatever... but taking this opportunity and stance, why not be more inclusive and do better than ever. This was the perfect time. Are we going to see something like this again.

Now it looks like any regular season without that strong message of this season's. Wasted and ineffective.

Versace is in the same boat... touting equality and such. Next.
