Does anyone remember Yasmeen Ghauri from the 90's? Her father is Pakistani and her mother is German. I think she was born in Canada.

Yeah of course, I think they post a lot of pictures of her in the 90's thread.

Beautiful Christy Turlington is bi-racial. She has a British father and her mother is from El Salvador.

Yes, Adriana said that she is "African, Indian and Swiss." (Fashion TV interview) She is from Bahia. Everyone should Google images of the people of Bahia, think about what Adrina refers to herself as and look at her again.

The thing is that Adriana Lima looks so ambiguous. In some photos you can barely see any African lineage. In others it's beyond obvious. I think it's one of the characteristics that makes her the ultimate top model for advertisers (and beautiful IMO)

Her hair is almost always straightened, her skin pale or lightened and her eyes bright. This throws some people off but if her hair were in its natural state (as it is in The Follow film) and her skin darkened by the sun (a prototypical descriptor but not a racial determinant), one may be able to see all that she is more clearly.

That's what many caribbean and South Americans call themselves, though. They call themselves "mulatto" or "mulatta" instead of bi-racial.

How is it sad? The term isn't racist.
