It's on CTV at 8pm.

This show is truly awful. Janice Dickinson should be there to put all of those girls in their respective places.

I'll give it one more episode, if things don't pick up I'm certainly not wasting my time. None of these girls appear to have the drive necessary to make it big.
The only girl that was any good in front of the camera was sent home. All of the others seem very uncomfortable and awkward.
What was her name Sylvie? Her photo was the only one that actually caught my eye, the rest were terrible!
I did however like how they jumped right into it with only ten girls and got right down to the challenges and photoshoot. It looks as though they're actually trying to find a top model as opposed to ANTM which seems to focus 90% of each episode on creating reality tv stars.

Alright, so I just finished watching the show.
It's very dull, but its expected because its Canadian TV.
The quality of girls is ehh, but the show had some key points by having Kelly Streit from modemodels come and talk to them...
He knows what hes talking about..

As for the models, based on polaroids and how they look on TV, Heather and Sisi are the top contenders.

Heather looks like Jessiann Gravel, they have the same nose and eyes.

Sisi looks like a mix between Gemma and Rila Fukushima, but if shes going to want to get farther, shes going to need to learn how to move...

It'd be interesting to see what type of makeovers they give the girls. Are they going to give makeovers to make them look like models, or TV stars?..
ANTM has only managed to make them look like fake, plastic, made up actresses.
Models need to look natural after their makeovers, and not over done.

Im placing my bet on Heather..

Well it looks as thought the shots posted on the bottom of page 3 of this thread are post-makeover

They're out already? Lame.

Heather's pic wasn't as bad as they said it was. She looks kinda androgynous.

To me, Natalie is so much hotter than that picture shows. When she was in the bottom two, I couldn't take my EYES off of her. That MOUTH!

And what places are those, exactly? Most of them appear to be nice, naive, somewhat sheltered Canadian girls who have a dream. That makes them not any different from most of the girls who appear on ANTM. I don't have much against any of them.

And I don't see why people always pooh-pooh Canadian television simply for being Canadian. Yeah, the show isn't ANTM, but I didn't expect it to be, and I have many issues with how ANTM works anyway.

I sort of agree. She will of course take a gorgeous photo, but I hate to admit that I totally agreed with Jeannie Beker when she said "There's no drama here." She just has to learn to show expression with her eyes. Compare Heather's photo to any random picture of Freja even at the beginning of her career. There is no comparison; Heather just needs to be trained that's all.

cntm's first episode may be boring, but aren't all tv shows like that in the first few episodes or even season? i remember watching antm's first season and it wasn't all that exciting either.

everyone's probably just nervous from being filmed the first time (did you see how awkward it was when tricia pulled out those photographs at elimination?) and considering that there's so much pressure on cntm already, i say they're doing a rather decent job. if anyone's to blame for the show's lack of excitement, it should be the director and cameraman for failing to film the juicy parts.
