From the first page...
It seems there are different 'types' of exclusives:
Worldwide - The model's not allowed to walk for any other designers, regardless of city. City - Probably the most well-known definition of an exclusive; can only walk for the exclusive show in that city...i.e meaning that she can walk for other designers in other cities.
Semi - Can't do any shows in city prior to the 'exclusive' show, but are free to do shows after. This type of exclusive mostly occurs in Europe. Casting Director - Can do shows that are casted by a particular casting director.
A special request is exactly that... it is (usually) established girls who aren't going to the castings but are still available to designer/casting directors by "special request" meaning the designer/director would contact the girls agency and book her directly...
Hopefully I explained the special request accurately enough...

Huh? Not like a typical fitting? Hows that?
Again "semi" means 'half', people. She was not semi exclusive if she did a full ny season and just started off with wang. That's just an agent decision to begin with a good show.
I think it should be clear here what a semi exclusive is. They are all very different things than a girl just debuting at a show in ny - The first city for shows. By default, bcbg, Richard chai, rag and bone and wang get to claim credit for debut the new girls!!! I've done semi exclusive with my models and its much more serious than debuting at a show early in a season.
I asked if Stam was an exclusive because she specifically tweeted that she's walking "one show and one show only." I thought she was an exclusive because she would've normally shown up to 1 or 2 more shows like Dolce & Gabbana.
