being a model, for many girls i think, in France, is not really a dream like in many countries
It has the image that it 's not the job that could make make your family proud of you, and sometimes even it's even considered as a bit of a slutty job (like in extreme prostitution).

To answer to Fontenrose...
Because French girls are pain in the @$$!!! That's what the scouts says in the models agency. They are always complaining about everything!
I must admit that we have (I am French) a temper and it's not always easy to deal with us... I should not be proud of it but... I am!!!

I wonder if French parents are a bit more aware of past scandals about agencies in Paris and Milan. Or other closeup views of the industry.

In the Netherlands French people are considered as cocky and unfriendly. I've been in France multiple times and my French is quite poorly, but I always feel like unwelcome there and they don't take the time to listen to my poor French and refuse to talk English. Mabey it's a personality issue... (Don't get mad..) Not that I know a lot of French people personaly but I do understand why Dutch people got that image from French people.

No I believe she is German? I dunno actually...

People here in Holland do tend to believe the French are arrogant and refuse to speak English...but from what I have experienced during my trips to Paris, the people there are actually friendly and happy to help you! They always welcome you when you enter a store and even when you buy nothing they thank you for your visit. Just wanted to throw that in to balance Dadum's post

I believe Kevin Flamme is French
Is Adam Senn French? According to NYmag.com it says his nationality is French but his ethnicity is probably American. He always struck me as American.
