but i thought Amelie would win... she reminds me of Doutzen Kroes (just a little bit!!!) but i don't like her Teeth

Haha to your comments during the show! I couldn't watch the backstage reports. Lena did okay, but Louisa?? Geez, what happened there?

I have to say I didn't find the show quite so fremdschäming like the ones before, even Heidi hadn't lost her grammar and the Thomasses could be ignored, but maaaan this was sooo boring! The highlight was definitely Lady Gaga - I didn't know she's such a good singer! The Top20-walk was pretty blah, though I found it quite amusing they didn't show Joanna.

So, congrats to Jana

Well, in the end I thought Rebecca should win for Jana has so much more potential. I guess being GNTM 2011 won't help her at all on her way to the international market. I'm quite glad that Amelie didn't make it, though it was a bit unfair for in my opinion she had the best walks in the show. Have you seen her succeeding with that dramatic red dress tangled aroung her ankle? That was really professional. Anyway, it won't be hard for her to find a good agency, I'm sure.

I just dislike Jana for some reason, her aura is not appealing I dunno, and overall not a fan of her beauty so to speak. Plus she tends to look way older then she is. But keeping in mind its GNTM Heidi picked a girl who can do commercial oneeins agency jobs and thats that. Time will pass and she will be forgotten like almost any other NTM winner.

Amelie is the only one with some true topmodel potential in this cycle. Fresh, young, modern, creative, determined, natural. If not the win she at least should have been second because Rebecca is way overrated and does nothing as a model at all. Same face in each photo. Girl is an actress but not a model.

I hope Amelie will be picked by a good agency. She is the one who wanted it most, the one who was most professional, the one who has it ALL to make it successefull, looks and understanding of modeling. Id love to see more of her modeling work for sure. Good luck, Amelie !

Wow, thanks for the info.
I didn't know she was russian until the episode with her mom and boyfriend.
To me she doesn't have this typical russian aura.

But I have to agree that Rebeccas Cover was the best.
Although I really like Jana, I don't know why they went for that cover. She looks too snobbish there.

Yeah her German is okay although I noticed she doesnt chat that eager lol. Especially in that top 3 interview with Lena on prosieben Jana just made a snobby impression again like she is all above that - could be just her being insecure of course, unlike Amelie and Rebecca who were more friendly and natural.

No wonder Aleks was her best friends she said :P They probs talked in Russian too hehe.

ps. I also liked Rebeccas cover the best from the 3 shown at finale.

I think Amelie did not win mainly due to her young age, because of the laws protecting minors she can't work that much plus she still has to go to school. At the end of the show they even said she wasn't allowed to come on stage for the Top 3 interview because it was so late and it would be against the law, so they were kind of admitting that she didn't have a chance of winning, otherwise the photocall and the after party would have been without the winner girl.

And they probably picked Jana over Rebecca because she's more clean and wholesome, plus the last two winners have been more exotic looking, maybe they wanted a blonde girl for a change.
After all, we all know they're not really looking for a model but for a girl they can use best for their purposes
